About Me and My Practice
I have been in practice at Portobello for 27 years, having been trained at Otago Medical School and Oamaru Hospital.
I am a solo practitioner, assisted with some regular work by a female doctor for three half days per week. My practice has an experienced Practice Nurse, and very efficient and caring receptionists. As a semi-rural practice, we are prepared for most things from minor problems to emergencies.
I practice patient-centred medicine and actively encourage the patient in the diagnostic and treatment process. While I personally do not practice complementary or alternative medicine, I have an interest in natural healing. I am supportive of patients attending alternative practitioners and will work alongside them if needed.
