About Me and My Practice

Hi, I am a passionate person with multiple interests. I initially came across the Feldenkrais® Method through dance. I had experienced nothing like it. For years I had attempted to yield my body into submission with dance, yoga, you name it, though nothing struck as deep and complete a chord as Feldenkrais® did. I felt it awakened something deeper in me than my usual movement habits allowed (which is exactly what the Method does). In 2005 I experienced a back injury with my nursing work. Years of patterns of movement needed to be addressed, which lead me into training as a Feldenkrais® Practitioner. I completed this training over a four year period, finishing in 2010.

The Method is an educational system that addresses us through our movement habits and helps us improve how we move, how we think, how we act and react in everyday life. The Method allows us to step outside our usual patterns of movement to experience something new. This in turn helps bring confidence, aliveness, grace, and strength to our movement and to ourselves.

I run mat classes, individual sessions, and workshops.

Some workshop themes thus far have been:

I also work as a Registered Nurse, and have done for over 16 years. My other backgrounds include theatre, dance, and singing.
