About Me and My Practice

For more than 90 years, the Peter Dick name has been prominent in Optometry in Dunedin. It began with my grandfather, who opened a combined jewellery and optical business in Dunedin in 1915. My father then took over the business in 1930. I qualified with a State Diploma in Optometry in 1962, and joined my father in the family practice. Together we expanded the optometry practice and sold the jewellery business.

I currently work alongside my son in our Moray Place practice, Visique Peter Dick Optometrists. Our practice also extends to Mosgiel, where we regularly attend to clients at our Optometry rooms on Glasgow Street. I also meet with clients at the Dental rooms in the Cromwell Mall on a regular basis.

At Visique Peter Dick Optometrists, we particularly specialize in contact lenses but also have a wide selection of frames, sunglasses, and eye care essentials.
