Acupressure

Acupressure is a Traditional Chinese Medicine bodywork technique based on the same ideas as acupuncture and is often described as 'acupuncture without the needles'.

It involves placing physical pressure, by hand, elbow, or with the aid of various devices, on different pressure points on the surface of the body. The points triggered are located along an invisible system of energy channels within the body, known as meridians, and relate directly to organs and glands where constrictions in the flow of energy cause disease and discomfort. The gentle pressure applied to these points brings about relief through greater balance and circulation of fluids (blood, lymph) and metabolic energies (heat, Qi) in the body.

Acupressure aids in the removal of toxic wastes from the body, reduces tension and stress, and can offer relief for many complaints.
